Each of the first 10 guests through the door every day this week will receive a free Table 33 t-shirt, founders said on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Table 33 will host a Halloween Costume Contest and fund-raiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 29. Tickets are $25 in advance, $50 at the door, and can be purchased at the restaurant. The first 33 people in the door will receive a free t-shirt. Each contestant will go before a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes, and 33 attendees will receive free coffee for a year. The event will benefit the Miami Valley Life Alliance.
New restaurant in the works in downtown Dayton (March 2016)
Plans called for Table 33 to start out as primarily a breakfast-and-lunch eatery, serving a full lineup of coffees and fresh-pressed fruit juices, Harrison and co-founder Charlie Carroll have said. The restaurant has obtained a liquor license and will open some evenings, particularly on show nights for the nearby Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, the owners said.
The space previously housed Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, the Downtown Grill & Cafe, and, before that, the first incarnation of Sidebar lounge. The restaurant space has been vacant since August 2015, when Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers — which operated on South Jefferson Street for 24 years before relocating to West Second Street — shut its doors.
