Opening day today for 2nd Archer’s Tavern location

Archer's Tavern opens its second location to the public today, Monday Oct. 10.

The pub/restaurant — which opened its flagship tavern six years ago in south Centerville — chose a site at 2030 E. Dorothy Lane for its second location. The building had been vacant since Tumbleweed Southwest Grill closed in January 2014. Another vacant retail space across the street, a former Krispy Kreme doughnut shop, is being renovated to open as a Rapid Fired Pizza restaurant.

The new Archer's Tavern on Dorothy Lane will open daily, including today, at 11 a.m. It is open until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Archer’s co-founder Dan Apolito has said the new tavern would open with 80 to 100 employees. It seats about 200 and also has an enclosed patio that can be used year-round.
