School to perform musical for final time in Kettering auditorium

Fairmont High School students will perform the musical “The Music Man,” April 6-8, the final performances in the school’s current auditorium.

More than 120 students are involved in the three-day performance, including some Kettering middle and elementary school students.

The event is being billed as a “family affair” featuring many sibling groups in the musical’s cast.

A.J. Breslin, 22, is a 2013 Fairmont graduate and is returning as acting coach after starring in several Fairmont musicals including “Les Miserables.” He remains active in Dayton theater, serving as a resident artist for Dare to Defy Productions and Playground Theatre.

Performances will take place in the Fairmont Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday's performance will be the final performance in the high school's current auditorium before construction of a new auditorium begins. Tickets are on sale now at www.ketteringmusic.org or in the music office. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors.
