Truck drivers report shots fired between drivers in Middletown

Middletown police are investigating shots being fired at close range Thursday night between motorists near Atco Avenue and Nelbar Street, according to a police report.

Police found three .40 caliber shell casings in the area.

Two truck drivers at the corner of Nelbar and Atco told police that while they were unloading their trucks, they saw a man exit his vehicle, then fire shots at the driver of a pick-up truck.

The alleged shooter was three to five feet away from the pick-up truck when he fired his gun, according to a police report.

Local hospitals were asked to call police if anyone had sought medical care for gunshot wounds, according to police.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call 513-425-7700.
