Wienermobile making stops in Butler, Warren counties

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is crisscrossing the country, and hopes residents of Butler and Warren counties will “ketchup” with the vehicle during several local stops.

Local stops by the 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels include:

  • Today, March 9: 9 a.m. to noon, Kroger, 1425 Columbus Ave, Lebanon; 1 to 4 p.m., Kroger, 725 W. Central Ave., Springboro.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to noon, Kroger, 5420 Liberty-Fairfield Road, Liberty Twp.; 1 to 4 p.m., Kroger, 7300 Yankee Road, Liberty Twp.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to noon, Kroger, 5100 Terra Firma Dr., Deerfield Twp.; 1 to 4 p.m., Kroger, 7855 Tylersville Road, West Chester Twp.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m. to noon, Kroger, 8238 Princeton-Glendale Road, West Chester Twp; 1 to 4 p.m., Kroger, 4613 Marburg Ave., Oakley

The vehicle has been roaming America’s highways and backroads since 1936, when it was created by Oscar Mayer’s nephew, Carl Mayer.

This year marks the 80th year the vehicle has been on the road, according to Oscar Mayer.

Those who visit will get a peek inside the Wienermobile, one of the company’s iconic Wiener Whistles.
