Speakers and performers will be chosen through an application and audition process, according to an event press release. Anyone interested can apply on the website tedxdayton.com and must do so by Nov. 1.

Volunteers are also being sought to help with audience engagement, stagecraft and social media.

The TEDxYouth@Dayton event is open to the public, according to the press release. Registration for attendees will open on tedxdayton.com in early 2018. Tickets are a suggested $10 to attend and will be available the day of the event to those that have pre-registered.

“In 2017, students from more communities and schools in the greater Dayton area auditioned, including home school students,” said chairperson Rachel Graves, “The event last March was a huge success. TEDxDayton patrons have supported our efforts to bring the TEDx model of locally organized events with ideas worth sharing to the youth of the Dayton area.”
