It’s hard to tell whether you should tackle this new concoction with a straw or a tortilla chip. But trust the bartender.

Mudlick Tap House has introduced a mean, green drink they’re calling the Verde Madre. It’s more simple than it looks and could be a drink perfect for those who just can’t get on board with a Bloody Mary.

Even as a Bloody Mary fan, I thought the Verde Madre was a refreshing twist on my favorite brunch sidekick. It’s built on a tomatillo base that makes the vodka go down effortlessly, so keep your guard up with this colorful new creation from Mudlick.

Bartender Jason recommends calling ahead of time if you’re making a special trip to Mudlick just to try the drink, as the Verde Madre is available whenever ingredients are in stock.
