Pumpkin Spice Lattes are here, there and everywhere in Dayton

Starbucks officially launches the PSL today. Several other coffee houses have them already or will very soon.

Pumpkin spice. You either hate it, or love it. Passionately.

If you’re on the PSL train, you know that the fall flavor is available at Starbucks starting today.

You’ll probably also be excited to hear many of the Dayton area’s coffee chains and independent shops already have it or are getting their baristas prepared for the most infamous flavor in coffee house history.

While the flavor doesn’t typically pick up popularity until mid-September, the flavor is available year-round at Ohio Coffee Co.

One of Dayton’s newest coffee houses opened shop with a full menu, including pumpkin spice (available year-round). Be sure to check out their other seasonal items starting in September.

This north Dayton coffee shop offers an alternative to pumpkin spice — harvest spice. A similar profile with no artificial, sugary pumpkin flavor. This in-house-made flavoring features the Autumnal notes you crave including cinnamon and nutmeg, and is sweetened with honey.

Winans has pumpkin pie spice flavoring available, and on Aug. 28 launches their pumpkin sauce for an extra boost of sweet squash flavor.

Grind House Coffee and Tea Co.

This coffeehouse currently has pumpkin spice flavoring available, but this Monday they will launch their pumpkin spice flavored coffee beans, which you can currently purchase online.

In-n-Out Java

This java house features pumpkin spice all year round - in lattes, flavoring coffee, hot, or cold. They also feature pumpkin sauce in their icy coffee smoothies, so you never have to go without. Soon, they’ll add Boston Stoker’s pumpkin coffee beans onto their list of brewed coffee - and as far as we know, they’re the only ones offering it.

This beloved Kettering coffee shop features pumpkin spice flavoring year round, and has pumpkin pie roasted coffee beans available now. Talk about seasonal splendor.

According to their baristas, the flavor will be hitting stores soon.

3rd Perk Coffeehouse & Wine Bar

Their owner informed us that starting Oct. 1, pumpkin pie lattes will be available in store. Tip: keep your eye out for individually-wrapped slices of walnut raisin pumpkin bread. It’s baked locally and delivered fresh.

Their baristas gave us the low-down on pumpkin spice at Ghostlight — and it’s not what you may expect. The closest you will come to a full-on pumpkin drink is pumpkin-coconut flavoring, which will be available soon.

Starting Sept. 1, you will be able to add Tastefully Roasted’s house-made pumpkin sauce to your latte. The recipe features all-natural ingredients, and no phony pumpkin taste.

Have no fear, Fairborn. This local coffee house will be offering pumpkin spice coffees in September.

Pumpkin spice flavoring hits Warehouse 4 in September.

In an effort to keep the seasons in check, Central Perc is keeping their pumpkin-flavored coffees off the menu until mid-September. You can get pumpkin spice favoring added to your lattes year round, though, by request.
