9 date ideas to change up your Valentine's Day weekend

This Valentine's Day weekend, you have a variety of ways to celebrate the holiday, ranging from the totally cheesy and endearing to the adventurous and wild.

First: Shopping. If you still need to grab a great gift ahead of the day, there are plenty of great local options at Heart Mercantile, Luna Gifts & Botanicals, or Agnes & Orson’s new location, which is slated to be open by early February.

Do you both love beer? How about a Tour de Breweries? Park in the Oregon District and walk to four fantastic breweries within a mile radius of each other. Or, splurge on an Uber and tour as many area breweries as you can from our brewery guide, without worrying about driving home.

Take a couple’s cooking class and eat your heart out. Classes run about $135 per couple and can be found at Dorothy Lane Market’s Culinary CenterThe Little City Cooking School in Oakwood or The Learning Kitchen in West Chester Twp. Classes fill up fast, so plan a month in advance.
