Pegged as “Dayton’s oldest florist with the newest ideas,” Furst the Florist is celebrating their 111th year as a family owned business in the Miami Valley. The family-owned florist also features beautiful arrangements.

Even on these early spring days that can still be chilly, North Dayton Garden Center is the perfect stop to shed your jacket and peruse row after row of their specialty plants. Their experienced staff is always quick to answer any questions about plant care and growing advice.

Whether you’re new to caring for plants or an experienced pro with dirt under your nails— Knollwood Garden Center is bound to have exactly what you’re looking for. The center even hosts frequent seminars and events for their most enthusiastic customers.

🌵Kitch Greenhouses

LOCATION: 1029 Kercher St., Miamisburg

Opened in 1935, Kitch has been busy keeping homes “homey” for quite a while. The greenhouse specializes in hanging baskets and potted plants. (Editor’s Note: Kitch does not open until April 15, and will close on July 31.)
