Barbecue food truck reveals a new set of wheels

One of Dayton’s most popular food trucks that’s a staple at food truck events across the area has a new set of wheels.

After operating as a trailer for their first five years, Dayton’s award-winning barbecue vendor, Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q has a new full-size truck.

The new truck made a few local appearances last week before hitting the road to participate in a few national barbecue competitions.

“We’ve been working on this truck for the better part of a year now,” Jeff Stringer, owner of Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q, said in a news release. “We’re pretty meticulous about how we barbecue, so we wanted to be sure that the truck not only met up to the standards of what we could do before on the trailer, but surpass them.”

The announcement of this new truck comes at the start of a busy competition season for Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q who have been invited to two prestigious upcoming barbecue competitions, in September at the 40th annual American Royal World Series of Barbecue and in October at the Jack Daniel’s 2019 World Championship Invitational Barbecue as Ohio’s representative team.

“It’s an incredible honor and one that my nephew Caleb [Stringer] and I have been working very hard on as the team of Brisket Bones and Brews,” Stringer said. “We’ve been fortunate enough to place at a number of competitions locally, regionally and even nationally, but these competitions are on a whole other level. We’re excited to be a part and show people a taste of Miami Valley Barbecue!”
