Not only will the goats and cows greet you at this “udderly” fun family farm, but more than 50 flavors of homemade-on-location ice cream. Prepare to be overwhelmed by choices.
Seasonal flavors include Key Lime Crunch, Chocolate Chunk Black Cherry, Cotton Candy and more. Best-sellers Cow Patty and Chocolate P-Nut Butter are always available. All of the ice cream is made on the farm with a 15-percent butterfat mix, which basically means it’s delicious.
Whether you keep cool by shopping the Dairy Store, take a walk through the barn to visit with goats, sheep and pigs, or play a full 18 holes of mini golf, Young’s is a fun place to get outdoors and enjoy some of the best ice cream in the region.

Founded in 1989, Ritter’s follows a tradition of frozen custard first pioneered by the French more than 100 years ago. With locations in Beavercreek and Kettering, Ritter’s specializes in frozen custards with flavors such as New York Cherry Cheesecake, Lemon Basil and White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.
Sundaes include the signature Grizzly Cub Special, made with hot fudge and Spanish peanuts, and the Mud Sundae, with marshmallow crème and Oreo cookies.
And if ice cream and frozen custard isn’t your thing, you can always try a refreshing Mangolicious or Mokaccino Italian Ice.

This fourth-generation family business is so passionate about ice cream that it owns a collection of vintage ice cream scoops. But you don’t have to be a connoisseur to stop in for a creamy collection of famous flavors.
Using the traditional French Pot process, Graeter’s makes its ice cream in small batches of two gallons at a time. The creamery’s most famous flavor is Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip, made with Oregon black raspberries and Peter’s Chocolate chocolate chips.
The shop also offers gelato, sorbets and a new low glycemic, diabetic-friendly menu.
This vegetarian, vegan, paleo-friendly frozen treat is completely guilt-free -- there's no dairy, added sugar, or artificial ingredients -- but don't let its healthiness fool you! It's just as delicious as any other goodie.

The Village Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant

For a vintage experience, stop in for an old-fashioned float or a double-dip fancy sundae. The classic parlor has been visited by multiple Ohio governors and celebrities since its opening in 1969.
Ice cream sodas such as Blackcow Rootbeer and Old Fashioned Nectar are made in frosted soda glasses and topped off with whipped cream. VIPs can expect to be served the Banana Split, complete with chocolate, marshmallow and strawberry toppings and maraschino cherries.
The Lebanon Sundae is a throwback to the town’s early ice cream parlors, with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, topped with marshmallow and Spanish peanuts. The parlor also contains a restaurant with signature soups, lunches and dinners.

It’s hard to go wrong with a slogan like “Ice, Custard, Happiness,” and Rita’s doesn’t. Located in Kettering, the shop offers Italian ice, ice cream, frozen custard, sundaes, gelati, misto, blendini and milk shakes.
The best-seller is the gelati, which layers Italian ice and frozen custard for a mixture of refreshing and creamy flavors. Sugar-free Italian ice is available for those on a low-sugar diet, and all ice is made with real fruit and served within 36 hours of mixing.
Whether you’re nuts about fruit or screaming for ice cream, you will probably find something to love at this recently opened creamery.
JD's Old Fashioned Frozen Custard

JD's has been serving the city of Englewood unique flavors of custard and imaginative sundaes since 1995. The custard stand, which operates seasonally, boasts a big menu that contains nearly 20 sunades, milkshakes, malts, concretes, smoothies and even frozen chocolate-covered bananas.
Make sure and try the Trash Can Sundae (two flavors of custard, any 2 toppings, candies or nuts, whipped cream, crushed Oreo, candy eyes and a gummi worm. Served in a plastic take home container) or the Buckeye Delight (one scoop of vanilla custard with chocolate topping and one scoop of chocolate custard with peanut butter topping, whipped topping and a homemade Buckeye Ball).
