Here is how you can eat at downtown Dayton’s newest restaurant before it opens to the public

The long wait is almost over for downtown Dayton’s newest restaurant.

Mudlick Tap House co-founders Jennifer Dean and Forrest Williams plan to open their business at 135 E. Second St. in downtown Dayton for events next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, (July 13 , 14 and 15) for employees and their family members and friends.

After that, it will be your turn.

Details are below on how you can get into one of the “made from scratch” eatery’s five invitation-only soft opening benefits.

The restaurant will have a soft opening for a special event Monday, July 17 for downtown area residents, workers and business owners in support of Kristen Wicker.

The Five Rivers MetroParks’ marketing manager is battling breast cancer.

The soft opening on Tuesday, July 18 will benefit The Dayton Foodbank. 

The  Wednesday, July 19 benefit will be for the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation;Thursday's will benefit FilmDayton; and Friday's will support the Greater Dayton LGBT Center. 

The restaurant will be open those days for lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.

Dean said that those interested in the invitation-only events should contact the various nonprofits to ask to be added to its email list.

Email blasts about the benefits will be sent out by the charities, she said.

Mudlick will open at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22  for its regular hours to the general public. 

The restaurant will then be open daily at 11 a.m.

The kitchen will close at 10 p.m. Monday through Friday with the bar remaining open until 11.

The kitchen will close at 11 p.m. Saturday with the bar remaining open until midnight.

Mudlick will close at 4 p.m. Sundays.
