IHOP to offer ‘short-stack’ of pancakes for $1 today

IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer a "short stack" of three buttermilk pancakes for a special price of $1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 23.

All of the proceeds from the sale will benefit No Kid Hungry, a Washington D.C. based non-profit organization that seeks to end child hunger in the U.S.

The offer is for dine-in only and is limited to one stack per person.

IHOP opened the first of a planned seven locations in the Dayton region 10 months ago at 2460 N. Fairfield Road in Beavercreek. Franchise owners have a second location in the works in Springfield.

The Dayton area had multiple IHOP locations in the 1970s and ’80s and today operates multiple franchise restaurants in the Columbus and Cincinnati markets. But prior to the opening of the Beavercreek restaurant, the closest IHOPs to Dayton are in West Chester, Mason and Richmond, Ind.
