El Meson serving flashback menu this weekend to celebrate 41 years in business

After four decades and with the help of three generations, El Meson has established itself as one of the Dayton-area’s classic restaurants.

This weekend El Meson will celebrate its 41st anniversary with flashback specials on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20.

The limited-time menu will include favorites from when the restaurant first opened as the Pizza Queen, including the Exotic Burrito, Flame-Broiled Chicken, Mexican Pizza and more.

“From the dishes that initially ingrained us here in the community to what we would become known for with the tastes of Herman’s traditional Colombian grilling, we can’t wait to share this anniversary weekend with all of you,” Bill Castro, owner of El Meson said in a news release.

Though you don’t need tickets to enjoy the special menu, reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling the restaurant at (937) 859-8229 or online.

 “Each year is a milestone for us,” Castro said. “We don’t take for granted the longevity we’ve experienced here in the Miami Valley, and these anniversaries are as much a celebration for us as it is for the friends and neighbors who have brought us this far.”
