In September, Dayton.com rounded up some great veggie burgers to try in the Dayton area. Readers immediately took to social media, commenting about their own favorite veggie burgers, and this spirited dialogue inspired another tasty list.
Here’s the second installment of fabulously flavorful veggie burgers to try in the greater Dayton area.
Blind Bob's - Noah's Garden Burger
When you want the tastiest bar food in town, the obvious choice is Blind Bob's. Noah's Garden Burger has a lot of flavor and when you take a bite, you can see all the veggies that make this a true garden burger. It comes with chips but if you're looking to go into a comfort food coma, you should definitely spring for their delicious waffle fries.
Agnes All Natural Grill - Black Bean Burger
Lunch time is the perfect time to grab a veggie burger, and downtown Agnes All Natural Grill has you covered with their black bean burger. It comes topped with mayo, lettuce, onion, and tomato with your choice of whole wheat bun or their World Famous CoCo Bread. What is CoCo bread, you might ask? It's a homemade Caribbean bread made with a hint of coconut milk and tastes similar to Hawaiian bread. Whole wheat is fine and all, but you'd be nuts not to try this burger with CoCo bread!
Butter Cafe - Vegan Burger
Most veggie burgers can only promise to be vegetarian friendly, so it's especially awesome to find a vegan burger – and when you find it at the tasty Butter Café, you know you're about to have an amazing sandwich. This house-made burger is full of flavor and is topped with a slab of tomato, crisp lettuce, fresh red onion, and a generous dollop of vegan mayo (which, by the way, is the best mayo I've ever tasted - no joke!). It comes with a side of their delicious, garlicky potatoes.
What are some of your favorite veggie burgers you've ever tasted? What made them stand out?
