The owner of Ms. V’s, Barbara Vinzant, is serving “good food, fun and fellowship to mothers and their loved ones this Mother’s Day. “You don’t have to travel to other areas of the city to enjoy a good meal — for such is available in West Dayton,” Vinzant said in a press release. The planned meal includes entrees of shrimp scampi with jasmine rice, fried or smothered pork chops, or baked chicken and dressing with the topping of cranberry sauce. Select two side items of green beans, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cornbread dressing, candied yams, corn muffins and a beverage of lemonade and top this meal off with the delicious peach cobbler.

Only one more seating time has available reservations left at Yankee Trace for their annual Mother’s Day Brunch. The 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. times are full, but 4 p.m. still has spots available so you must call for reservations as soon as possible if you wish to attend. Over 600 people are expected for the brunch, as Mother’s Day is always highly anticipated, said owners of Yankee Trace. This is a lunch style buffet — serving carved lamb, ham, turkey and more.
