When you think of Dayton-made coffee, Boston Stoker is the name to know. From one shop in Englewood in 1973 to roasting more than 150,000 pounds of coffee annually right here in Dayton, Boston Stoker locations serve more than one million cups of coffee every year.

The business has evolved to include full service coffee and espresso bars, as well as baked goods and fruit smoothies. Several locations also include handmade cigars and tobacco goods.

Winans

If you like chocolate with your coffee (either in it or as a snack), then you’re likely already familiar with Winans Chocolates and Coffee.

Tastefully Roasted

This new kid to the scene takes up residence in two former Saxby’s Coffee locations in Oakwood and by Dayton Mall.

It features pastries from Ashley’s Pastry Shop in Oakwood and coffee from Solstice Roasters in Cleveland. Now entirely locally-owned and operated, this shop hopes to grow throughout the Miami Valley.

This online distributor is based in Fairfield, out of a 100-year family knowledge base of single-origin coffees and teas from around the globe.

The plan is for Grind House is to simply grow it into a company that customers can rely on to serve quality coffees. They want their customers to know that they can expect the same quality coffees that they order online in coffee shops as well -- which they say are coming soon!
