The other would allow her to sell wine and mixed beverages in sealed containers for carryout.
“I still want it to be a gift shop that has wine rather than a wine shop that has gifts,” Van Fleet said.
Her plan is still being formulated, but she said she doesn’t intend for the store to hold wine tastings in the traditional sense.

“It is really going to be about ‘I’d like to taste this particular wine before I buy it.’ It not going to be a sit around and drink place,” she said.

Van Fleet said wines will be available for carry out to give customers more options and to open the business up to more shoppers.
“It will increase sales,” she said. “It will bring in people more often.”
She expects the licensing process to take six months to a year.
Van Fleet bought Agnes & Orson in February after starting working their last December.
The store sells sassy cards, candles and a list of locally produced items that includes jewelry, artwork, Lindy’s Bakery dog treats and well as items that promote inclusion of people from the LGBT community such as whimsical T-shirts, glasses and mugs.
