Think your property would be the perfect movie set? FilmDayton location sign-up event happening this weekend

Ever want to be featured in a movie? Well, you’re in luck!

FilmDayton will be hosting a location sign-up event and this could be your chance to have a property or business you own transformed into a set for a movie.

On Nov. 4, FilmDayton will host a location sign-up event at the Dayton Metro Library from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in conference room 3A. Property owners will learn more information about the location database and register their property for consideration. The locations database gives property owners the opportunity to have their property used in movies.

FilmDayton receives all type of property requests from producers including homes, courthouses, warehouses, restaurants, farms, churches, bars and more.

As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, FilmDayton is a volunteer-based organization. FilmDayton's goal is to attract producers to film in Dayton. FilmDayton's most recent successes include the films "Old Man and the Gun" and "Goat" boasting stars such as Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, James Franco and Nick Jonas.

FilmDayton is dedicated to advancing the art, craft and business of film in the Greater Dayton area. FilmDayton was created in January of 2007 as part of the SOCHE Creative Class task force and has become part of a community-empowerment project to revitalize the region’s economic competitiveness.
