Your best (and worst) nightmare! One of the region’s most terrifying attractions to open this weekend

The end of summer marks a new season, and we’re not talking about just fall. We’re talking scaring season. If you’re like us, haunted houses, trails and caves are one of the best ways to get thrills and chills on a fall evening.

Luckily for us, the spooky spaces are starting to open. Over Labor Day weekend, Land of Illusion transformed back from a water park to scare park. The next venue to announce it's resurrection is the Lewisburg Haunted Cave, which has set an opening date of Friday, Sept. 14.

The cave, which has been nominated as one of the best haunted houses in the country by USA Today, is located 80 feet below the ground in a real limestone cave, with over 30,000 bats included.

You can expect 500-foot haunted bridges, award-winning actors and 3,564-feet of scares. There are also historic wagon rides available for $10 per adult and $5 for children (12 and under.)
