“Wild Thing” is quite the collector, and now he’s about to cash in.
Charlie Sheen, who played the comical Indians pitcher Rick Vaughn in "Major League," is putting two Babe Ruth memorabilia items to auction Friday, per ESPN.

The Yankees defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1927 Series. Ruth's ring and a copy of the document that sent Ruth from Boston to New York will be available from Lelands.com. Sheen bought the items from the same destination.
The ring’s bidding is already over a record-breaking $600,000. The document is slated to exceed $400,000.

The document, of course, signaled the beginning of the “Curse of the Bambino,” which, if you’re the superstitious type, last 86 years in Boston.
Sheen said he bought the items in the 1990s and displayed them in a residence bar that he named after Ruth. Sheen also once owned the ball that slipped between Bill Buckner’s legs in the 1986 World Series.
“I’ve enjoyed these incredible items for more than two decades and the time has come,” Sheen said. “Whatever price it brings is gravy.”
