The Butler Bulldogs are moving on to the second round, but their live mascot, Butler Blue III, is not welcomed. The bulldog made the trip to Raleigh, N.C., but was not permitted to enter the arena. According to the NCAA, "In preliminary rounds, given the limited space, tight turnaround at venues with multiple sessions, etc., the rule is no live animals may enter the building."
