The gun appeared to be a Ruger LCP .380 caliber pistol. There’s also a clip visible in the photo, but the angle of the photo doesn’t show if there’s another one loaded into the grip of the pistol.
Benjamin was a distinguished amateur wrestler at the University of Minnesota, where he also coached shortly after his senior year. He was teammates with future WWE champ and UFC champ Brock Lesnar. The two broke into WWE’s developmental promotion OVW as a tag team.
Benjamin would later team with Charlie Haas when he made his WWE debut in 2002 and worked with former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle.
Benjamin was a two-time NCAA All-American. He’s won multiple singles and tag team titles in WWE as well as Ring of Honor. He’s currently in a tag team with another former amateur champion, Chad Gable.
