Hanging precariously over the edge – 223 feet above the ground – with 23 other brave souls, the countdown begins.

4…3…2…1 – four seconds later, you are diving to the earth at a 90-degree angle, 75 miles per hour. You flip upside-down three times and plunge into a second dive. After 2 minutes and 23 seconds of adrenaline-inducing twists and turns, you arrive back at the station – you have survived Valravn.

The world’s tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster is the newest scream-inducing ride at Cedar Point. Valravn set six world records with its debut this season, joining other fan-favorites like Millennium Force, Raptor and Maverick in a family of 18 world-class roller coasters.

RIDES AND LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

But you don’t need to be a coaster fan to enjoy a day at the Sandusky amusement park. While monstrous coasters dot the landscape, the park has a world record 71 rides. From kid-friendly thrills at Camp Snoopy and Planet Snoopy to the classic Giant Wheel, Midway Carousel and Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad.there rides for all ages and bravery levels.

Beyond the rides, there is plenty to see and do. Meet Snoopy and his friends, explore Dinosaurs Alive, check out the All Wheels Extreme show or wrap up the day watching Luminosity, complete with live music, aerialists and pyrotechnics.

SURF, SAND AND SEAGULLS

Those looking to chill out can enjoy Soak City Waterpark with water slides for all ages, a wave pool and lazy river.

The Cedar Point beach has been a North Coast summer entertainment mecca for more than 140 years. Help the kids build a sandcastle, try your hand at a sand volleyball game or just sit back and enjoy live music all just steps away from the thrills of the park.
