“The full moon this month is called a ‘pink’ moon not because it will look pink, but because of the spring flowers that bloom this time of year,” Zontini said. “It will be easy to see the full moon this weekend because the sky will stay clear.”
The moon officially becomes full April 29 at 8:58 p.m.
“Sunday evening you will notice a bright looking star below the moon in the evening hours. Monday evening, April 30, look for the moon after sunset and you will see Jupiter right next to it,” Zontini said.
“You will know it is a planet because it will shine steady and not twinkle like a star.”
