Another popular event in Dayton has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dayton Porchfest, originally gearing up to serve up its third year of local music and summertime ambiance in the St. Anne’s Historic District neighborhood, has been postponed to later this fall. The music festival was originally set to take place on Aug. 22, and with this postponement, is now tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17.

We will be revisiting the situation no later than September 1 and look forward to providing an update at that time. #DaytonPorchfest #musicinthehill #stanneshill #daytonporchfest2020

The music festival traditionally features musicians and bands covering a variety of genres, from funk to indie rock. These performances take place on porches, and are part of a national movement to bring people and neighbors together through music.

Troy Porchfest, set to take place on Sept. 12, has been canceled.

According to Dayton Porchfest’s Facebook page, this postponement will be revisited and possibly re-evaluated no later than Sept. 1 of this year.

Follow Dayton Porchfest’s Facebook page and website for more information about the postponement.
