Two Dayton summer music festivals canceled

Two downtown Dayton music festivals have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dayton Funk Festival, scheduled for Aug. 9, and the Reggae Festival, scheduled for Aug. 30, will not take place this year.

The festivals, presented by the Department of Recreation and Youth Services, will not be rescheduled.

The Dayton Funk Festival held its’ inaugural event last year at the Levitt Pavilion. Among the performers were the Top Secret Band and The Deron Bell Band.

The Reggae Festival has been a popular summer event for years. Seefari, The Flex Crew and One Love were among last bands who performed in 2019.
