Dayton’s first bubble tea brick and mortar ‘Blossoms’ at Dayton Mall

The first stand-alone bubble tea shop in the area has new roots in the Dayton Mall.

Blossom Juicy Bar opened July 7 inside the Dayton Mall’s upper level food court. They are also located at 2801 S. Dixie Drive in Dayton, where they first opened in 2019, next to Kung Fu Noodle.

“Blossom Juicy Bar is a welcome addition to our Food Court,” said Dave Duebber, General Manager, Dayton Mall. “We are excited to welcome them to the Dayton Mall family.”

Owners Ye Chen and Jieqiang Hou are excited to be a part of the Dayton Mall community, according to a Dayton Mall release. Ye moved from China to Oakwood with her family 12 years ago, and has dreamed of opening her own shop since she was a little girl.

According to Mic.com, bubble tea is a drink that features a base made from tea, fruit, coffee or milk and chewy ‘pearls’ at the bottom of the cup. Blossom has an extensive menu, which can be overwhelming for people new to the craze.

According to Dayton Daily News food writer Alexis Larsen, if you’re a bubble tea novice, ask for recommendations based on flavors and textures you enjoy to create a bubble tea that will best satisfy the flavor profiles you favor.

“Blossom Juicy Bar will enhance the mall’s variety of notable restaurants and retail locations to offer guests the most dynamic shopping experience,” stated the release.
