5 kids activities in Dayton we still enjoy as adults

Even as adults, we try to remain kids at heart. But sometimes, we're perfectly OK doing grown-up things, especially if they are the grown-up version of a beloved kid's activity (Hi, Crayola).

Thankfully, there's no shortage of activities, generally intended for kids, that we can still enjoy as adults in and around the Gem City.

    Paint-by-numbers might have been a fun activity during arts and crafts time, but we much rather prefer the grown-up version that allows you to sip wine while you finish your masterpiece.

    True, many of us had fond memories as kids playing at a McDonald's Play Place or spending countless tokens at Chuck E Cheese's, but thanks to genius minds behind Scene75, now adults have a place near Dayton where they can relive those memories all over again.

  • 3. Riding bikes as a practical means of getting around town

    It used to be that, as a kid, a bicycle was your primary means of transportation. And while most adults use a car to get from Point A to Point B, Link Bike Share has helped made riding a bike around the city a practical and fun way to stay on the move.

    When you head out to Riverscape Metropark this year, you'll likely see a lot kids skating circles across the ice, but also see a fair number of adults trying to maintain their balance, too.

    Besides all the really cool exhibits you enjoyed as a kid, several Dayton-area museums, such as the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, entice adults to visit with costume parties and galas.
