Solange no longer performing at Coachella

Solange will not be performing at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the festival confirmed on Twitter Sunday.

“Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year's festival,” the tweet said. “She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.”

 

Solange, who released “When I Get Home,” the follow-up to her 2016 album “A Seat at the Table” in March, is known for shows that blend music with performance art. It’s unclear what her set would have consisted of for Coachella.

Last year, Solange graced the stage at the Indio, California, music festival with her big sister, Beyonce. The set made history as Beyonce was the first woman of color to headline the music festival.

This year, headliners include Childish Gambino and Ariana Grande.

Coachella runs April 12-14 and April 19-21.
