Look inside the renovated Cincinnati Music Hall

Cincinnati celebrated the reopening of Music Hall and its $143 million in renovations this past weekend.

After being closed for a year and a half to undergo renovations, the 139-year-old building in Over-the-Rhine debuted its new look to the public Saturday with festivities that included more than 50 live performances that were free to the community.

Music Hall is the home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Ballet and Cincinnati May Festival.

Cincinnati Pops returns to Music Hall this weekend (Oct. 13-15) with the music of John Williams, whose film scores include “Star Wars,” the first three “Harry Potter” movies, “Jaws” and more.

Cincinnati Ballet: "Romeo and Juliet," Oct. 26-29
May Festival: "The Storm That Built Music Hall," Nov. 4 and 5

The Society for the Preservation of Music Hall will resume its normal tour schedule Nov. 1. The tour includes details about the art, architecture, history and construction of the building.
