Angry customer hits Popeyes employee over head with tray

The video, taken Monday night by an employees inside a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Fort Worth, also shows another upset customer trying to jump over the restaurant’s counter, the television station reported.

Wendy Rodriguez, the employee who was assaulted in the video, told The Dallas Morning News the incident began when the woman wanted free drinks.

"That's when the lady told me I was being rude; I told her, 'Ma'am, have a nice day,' and I turned around,” Rodriguez told the newspaper. “She came back and threw the bag of chicken on the counter and told me she wanted her money back.”
