A man faces murder and other charges about four months after he was released from prison.

Trinity Wayne Bussler was arrested Saturday in connection with the shooting death of a 26-year-old woman after authorities found him hiding in a home in Conyers, Georgia, Rockdale County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sgt. Tijuana Harris said in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Bussler, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections, was released from Hays State Prison in May after serving six years of a 20-year sentence for burglary, criminal trespass, theft by taking and false imprisonment. Records show the crimes were committed in Rockdale County between May 2010 and April 2011.

Bussler is now accused of shooting Yaritza Cerda in the head in Conyers. Authorities responded to the scene just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday after someone called 911 and reported a person had been hit by a vehicle.

Upon further investigation, deputies realized Cerda had been shot.

Bussler was charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, firearm used by a convicted felon during the commission of felonies and two counts of felony violation of probation, Harris said.

His relationship to Cerda is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
