Block party quarantine style: Residents gather to make some noise from their balconies

The high rise condos on Patterson Boulevard came to life Sunday evening for a quarantine style party.

Residents gathered on their balconies in the apartment building south of Carillon Park, with kazoos, pots and pans, and noise makers in a show of solidarity in the fight against coronavirus.

The apartment complex had left its residents bags of kazoos and a note that read, “these were carefully packed on a sanitized surface, using face masks and gloves to keep them germ free.”

The note continued with instructions for a 7 p.m. gathering on individual balconies to wave to neighbors and make some noise.

“Cheer for the frontline heroes keeping things running,” the note said. “Scare away the demons. Or if need be just engage in some primal noise making.”
