“This book is the result of my lifetime of involvement in all things Middletown,” Mort said in a news release. “I’ve had the chance to combine my public relations work with a wide variety of volunteer duties. It’s been a wonderful experience living in Middletown and now I share those memories with those who read this book.”
Mort’s community service included numerous organizations, the U.S. National Balloon Championships when it was in Middletown, local tourism as well as terms on the Middletown Board of Education, the Middletown Planning Commission and Middletown City Council.
She moved out of the city in 2017 to be closer to her daughter.
Softback copies of the book are for sale for $20 each at Java Johnny’s, 3534 Central Ave. and Artique framing shop inside the Pendleton Art Centre at the corner of Central Avenue and Broad Street.
