Human Relations Council to host conversations on racism, justice

The Dayton Human Relations Council will host a series of conversations on racism and justice over Zoom to address racial and social injustices in the Dayton area, as well as across the country and world.

Collective Community Conversations on Racism and Justice is a collaboration between the Dayton HRC, National Conference for Community and Justice of Greater Dayton and the Gem City Market Co-op.

The series was designed to create a dialogue, information sharing and community building across race, perspective, background and age.

Each session will last 90 minutes, with the first two sessions featuring the following break out sessions on alternatives to policing;  racism as a public health issue; Black Lives Matter and allyship; and self care during emotional trauma.

The third session will serve as a wrap up and provide participants the opportunity to share ideas on how to create the desired changes in Dayton and the world.
