Cross-eyed Herman has a new family, and he couldn’t hide his excitement in his adoption photo

An English bulldog mix seemed especially grateful to be adopted this weekend.

Herman, a 4-year-old, has a slight head shake and is cross-eyed due to a neurological issue.

“This neurological issue was not affecting his health and he loved nothing more than running in the dog park, going on walks and giving sloppy kisses to our staff and volunteers,” said the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in a news release.

Herman found his new home at an adoption event at PetCo inside Town and County Mall in Kettering.

A photo with his new family shows Herman smiling big.

“His adoption photo shows the excitement, gratitude, love and joy an adopted animal feels when a family opens their hearts and homes to a new pet,” the humane society said.
