WSU accepting applications for student coronavirus relief fund

Wright State University impacted by the coronavirus pandemic are now able to apply for the the university’s Student Emergency Relief Campaign.

Eligible students seeking financial assistance with food, toiletries, medications and other supplies and who also incurred travel expenses to return to their homes outside of the area can apply at wright.edu/StudentRelief.

Since the campaign launched on March 20, 379 people have donated more than $28,000. The university also donated $3,000 in challenge grants.

“We are so grateful for the support provided by our Wright State family during this unprecedented time. Our students’ lives have been turned upside down by this pandemic,” said Bill Bigham, interim vice president for advancement. “Our Division of Student Affairs will be reviewing applications as quickly as they can so we can get this much-needed funding to our students as soon as possible.”

Donations for the relief fund will be accepted through April 17 and can be made here.
