Linda Jean Fahn, 71, of Goodyear, was sentenced last week in Maricopa County Superior Court after she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, KNXV reported.

On Dec. 30, 2017, Goodyear police received a call from a man who said his wife was shooting at him, the television station reported. The man told police the woman, identified as Fahn, fired two shots above his head as he was sitting on the toilet, KNXV reported.

According to court documents, Fahn told police, "I shot two bullets at the wall above his head to make him listen to me."

Fahn claimed she did not intend to shoot her husband, telling police "He would have to be 10 feet tall to be hit by the bullets," KNXV reported.

However, police said the shots were fired about 7 inches above the man's head, the television station reported.
