The midweight jacket was sold in infant sizes 12 to 24 months and the underside of the jacket's label contains the printed style number C2185125-CT or C218525, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Amerex has received two reports of the snaps detaching from the jacket, including one report where a baby began choking on the button, the CPSC said in a news release on its website.

Just over 1,500 of the jackets, which retailed for $65, were sold from July 2018 through February 2019 at a number of stores, including Carter’s, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Century 21, and online through Zulily.com and Carters.com.

Customers are urged to stop using the jackets immediately and call the company at (800) 230-3418 for a full refund.
