A California homeowner took a decidedly wet approach to deterring thieves in her neighborhood -- setting up a motion-activated sprinkler.
Katie Camarena set up the device after prowlers started targeting the neighborhood, KGTV reported.
"Our flood light didn't seem to scare them off, so we decided to have a little fun with a motion activated sprinkler that has an impressive amount of pressure," Camarena wrote on social media.
The device seems to have worked.
Video shows a prowler riding up on a bicycle and then quickly riding off early Tuesday morning as the sprinkler starts spraying water from the back of a truck.
