That's what happened in Missouri on Friday. An officer from the Winfield Police Department received a text from a person who invited him to a baseball game, WDAF reported. When the officer insisted he did not know the texter he received the response, "We got high together girl! Get dressed & I will pick you up in the truck remember."
The Police Department posted the exchange on Facebook, which, depending on your point of view, could be hilarious or mortifying.
The officer answered the last text with a selfie and his badge, writing, “Pretty sure we didn’t get high together.”
Predictably, there was no response.
There was plenty of reaction on social media. One fan wrote, "I want to marry this officer," WDAF reported.
"Sorry, he's engaged," police officials responded on Facebook.
