$10 million bonus: Company gives 120 employees windfall

Workers at a Sioux Falls mining company got an extra surprise for the holidays.

Owners of Myrl & Roy's Paving gave out $10 million in bonuses to its 120 employees last week, the Argus Leader reported.

Workers got a one-time influx of cash from between $5,000 and $400,000 depending on how long they've worked for the company and the job they perform, the newspaper reported.

The company has been around for more than 50 years and was started by Myrl Unzelman and Roy Schultz, officials with the company said on its website.

The company is now being sold to another local business so the bonus was a thank you to loyal employees for their work for Myrl & Roy's, the Leader reported.
