Ruiz said that when she told him to stop, the boy punched her, knocking her unconscious. She woke up on a stretcher and was left with bruises and broken bones in her face.

The family says it has forgiven the child who is accused of the attack, WNBC reported.
The student has been charged with aggravated assault, Passaic Mayor Hector Lora said, according to the Record.
