The retired NFL quarterback was sitting in the stands when the Denver Nuggets hosted the Boston Celtics on Friday night, WBIR reported.
During a timeout in the fourth quarter, the Nuggets' mascot, Rocky, tossed a pass to Manning, who caught it.
Manning, who had a career completion rate of 65.3% during his 17-year NFL career, then launched a pass toward the mascot, who was streaking on a "long" pass pattern on the court.
The spiral was true, but the ball went through the mascot's paws.
