The couple could spend Thanksgiving in the U.S., People reported, citing a royal source.

“The duke and duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time,” the source told the magazine.

The news of the couple's plans came hours before an ITV documentary filmed during the recent trip to South Africa is broadcast in the UK, CNN reported.

"I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We've just come from Cape Town. That would be an amazing place to be able to base ourselves," Harry said in "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey," People reported, quoting an excerpt from the documentary.

The couple may not be traveling alone. According to The Sunday Times, they plan to bring their 5-month-old son, Archie, to North America.

Harry and Meghan are expected to celebrate Thanksgiving at the duchess' childhood home in California while visiting her mother, Doria Ragland, E! Online reported. They will return to celebrate Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family at the queen's Sandringham estate in England, the website reported.
