Tammi Bleimeyer, 37, was found guilty Thursday of injury of a child and child endangerment.

KTRK-TV reports that in March 2014, the victim's then-16-year-old brother called police to report the alleged abuse. He said the boy was forced to wear a diaper and live in a closet under a stairwell with no food inside their Houston-area home.

Police tried to find the child, but Tammi Bleimeyer had removed him from the home. Police said Tammi and the victim's father, 24-year-old Bradley Bleimeyer, were uncooperative.

Authorities found Tammi Bleimeyer and the child the next day in a motel room. Responding deputies said the boy had bumps and bruises, and was severely underweight. The boy had to be hospitalized.

KHOU-TV reports Bradley Bleimeyer pleaded guilty to injury to a child in 2016 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Tammi Bleimeyer is scheduled to be sentenced Monday.
