The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that as a way to say “thank you” to its front-line workers during the coronavirus pandemic, it has started lighting bridges across the state in red, white and blue.

In a video posted to ODOTs twitter page, the agency showed patriotic-color lights on the George V. Voinovich Bridge in Cleveland, the Veterans Glass City Skyway in Toledo, the Ashtabula Harbor Bridge in Ashtabula and the I-75 bridge over Third Street in Dayton.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine retweeted the video, saying that ODOT was also lighting the bridges in response to the state government’s request for Ohioans to fly their flags.
