University of Dayton students can get 40 percent off at JC Penney Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

The discount is part of JC Penney’s partnership with the University of Dayton to help hundreds of students learn how to professionally dress, from how a suit should fit to how to tie a tie, according to a release from the company.

The department store and college career center’s Suit Up event will teach the students how to dress for job interviews with the help of faculty, staff and alumni from UD along with JC Penney staff.

The event at the Mall at Fairfield Commons JC Penney store on Sunday will give students a chance to view the career fashion trends and then buy them at a 40 percent discount. In total, men will be able to purchase a Stafford suit jacket and pants, shirts, ties, belts and shoes for under $200. Women can buy a Worthington suit jacket, skirt, shirt and shoes for under $100.
